Arizona, Week 16 – Short blog posts, storms, and support from the church members…

(Mesa area with Sister Shannon Homer)

Hey, sorry my blog posts have been so short. I’ve been really busy! It was a great week! We had some storms which was really fun! It’s monsoon season here so there was rain, dust storms, and lots of lightning! The trees are falling down everywhere.

We had kind of a tough week because the only investigators we have all dropped us. BUT we did find some new possibilities and a lady named Claudia who accepted a date. But then the next day her brother died and she didn’t go to church and she hasn’t really been in the mood to talk about it right now. Poor Claudia. Seriously, our poor investigators have seen some tough stuff this week. Another member got hit by a truck on Sunday driving home from church and we went to the hospital to see her. She’ll be ok, but won’t be able to go back to work for a long time and is already in a tough spot financially. Crazy how her whole life changed in just one moment. It will never be the same again. It was so great to see how many members showed up to support her, though, and I just love that about the church. We really are a big family.

Love you all!
