(Mesa area with Sister Shannon Homer)
This transfer has flown by faster than any before. Hermana Homer and I have learned so much together and seen so many miracles. Next Monday I’ll know where I’ll be and with who for my last transfer of the mission. Hermana Homer and I would love to be together, but we’ll see what God has in mind. We love each other so much and I truly believe we will be lifelong friends. We saw more miracles than I could name this transfer. We actually started out with the goal to baptize every week the whole transfer and it didn’t happen, but something even better happened. We were able to teach families and now we will have our last 3 baptisms this weekend – a total of 7 (or 8 if you count the investigator we have have been Skype teaching – Hayley!) So that’s even more than if we had gotten a baptism each week. It’s been so cool to see so many fruits, so many real conversions. I really feel like each of the people we taught this transfer will endure to the end and has experienced a real, startling, life-changing conversion. I feel so blessed that God has let me witness so many beautiful miracles.
Diego’s baptism was really sweet. He’s a really quiet kid, but it’s been neat to watch him open up to us and when he does talk, it’s obvious that he has been soaking it all in. He really understands everything. His prayers are amazing. At first he was so shy that he didn’t want to be baptized in front of a group of people. Then as he has come to know God and change his life, he realized how important it was and decided to be the example to the rest of his family, the first one to take that step. It was so sweet. He even shared a brief testimony at his baptism about how happy he felt. He was especially excited to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
It’s been a good week. We saw miracles daily. They are everywhere. I am so so so so so happy. Nothing can get me down. I’m just so happy to be where I know I need to be and doing what I know God wants me to do. This next transfer is going to be the best of them all, I can feel it.
Love you all!
