This week was really great. We had the baptism of Carolina on Saturday and her confirmation on Sunday! It was really beautiful and she feels great. Now they are a complete active family. Her husband who was less active is active again and they already have their date picked out to go to the temple in a year and be sealed. Even though Carolina was prepared way before we got there (she’s met with missionaries for YEARS) it gives us hope for the people we are preparing right now who will be baptized in the future even though we won’t see it.
For example, Paz is completely ready to be baptized, but her husband has a really hard time believing in God or anything really. He is still married to someone else so it will be a while before he believes, divorces, they get married, and she can be baptized. BUT it’s gonna happen with time. He really knows that God exists even though he won’t admit it. He actually read almost the entire Book of Mormon in a week. Then he was with some people at work and they started talking bad about Mormons. He said, “What have you got against Mormons? I’m Mormon.” and totally defended us! He’s never even been to church. hahaha There’s also Nicole. She came to the baptism and liked it a lot. Her only tough spot is that she isn’t married either and has an adorable little baby. We taught the law of chastity this week and she didn’t like it very much, but she knows everything else is true and she is super pure and sensitive to the Spirit.
Out of time!! Love you all! Keep being missionaries and loving the people around you!
